Jonny Update (13 months)

I thought I'd share some of Jonny's new "tricks", his personality, and how he's changing... He loves being around other little people. He can make friends faster than any adult I know. Whether at the store, chruch, or park he will select a new best friend and follow the kid around as long as possible. He doesn't seem phased when other kids push him down or steal his toys. He's just happy they're paying attention to him. I hope this is a sign of how well he'll do in Nursery. Whenever upbeat music is being played he starts bouncing his knees and banging his head. And if it's a reverent song he'll sing along and wave one arm as if to conduct the music. This is especially funny during Sacrament Meeting Hymns. Now that he walks, Jonny no longer needs Mom. He wants to walk everywhere and if I try to hold his hand or direct him in a certain direction, he won't have it. Mr Independent has arrived! He can now identify where his bellybutton, ears, mouth, and eyes are. Trev's been trying to teach him parts of the body like patella, clavical, or femur. I dont even know where most of them are. He loves doing the actions to Popcorn Popping, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and (his favorite) Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam. He's folding his arms for the first 3 seconds of our family prayers. He is the cutest back scratcher, kiss blower, head banger, fake laugher, stair crawler, grape eater, ball thrower, and nose snorter that I know. He is growing and changing everyday. Trevor and I can't believe how ridiculously happy we both get when we discover something new Jonny is doing. He makes us smile and laugh (and let's be honest, sometimes want to rip our hair out). We love him and are so grateful for our little monkey. Found the camera but not the battery charger, so these are the most recent pics I have of Jonny that we took a couple weeks ago.
