Jonny's Four

We celebrated Jonny's Fourth Birthday this weekend with a Super Hero Party.

Each kid was given a super hero cape when they arrived and spent some time decorating a super hero mask while all the party guests arrived. (Trev and I stayed up till 3am sewing these capes. Trev was so helpful and honestly did so much of the work)

Once everyone had arrived all the super heroes flew over to Gotham City to show off some of their Super Hero Moves

I decided to give them a few examples. Trev snapped a photo of it and although embarrassing, a little funny.

"Calling all Super Heroes... To the Rescue"

Next we headed out to the 'Super Heroes in training' obstacle course. These Super Heroes crawled under tables, leaped over broom sticks, tight rope walked, raced through a tunnel, and sprayed the Super Villain with Silly String. The kids had a blast and although it was over 100 degrees they wanted to do the course over and over.

We played a few more Super Hero games like Hot Kryptonite (Hot Potato) and capture the Super Villains (I hid pictures of comic book villains around the house and they had to find them.)

I then told the kids that there was one more Super Villain hiding in the house and that they were to find him, capture him, and tie him up. Here's what happened.

After games we sang 'Happy Birthday' to Super Jonny, ate cupcakes and ice cream, and opened some gifts.

We had about ten minutes before parents arrived to fly around and cause havoc throughout the house. Each kid left with their cape, mask, and a super hero sucker.

It was a lot of fun and I'm pretty sure Jonny will be talking about his party for the next few weeks. (Today he went into Bishop's office and told him he had a Super Hero Party. Bishop was a little confused but gave him some candy because it was his birthday.)
 Happy Birthday Super Jonny!

It was such a fun party that we're still talking about it at our house. Even Emma and Kaylee who only got to see the end, LOVE their masks and have been playing super hero all morning. Happy birthday to a truly super boy (with a super-duper mom!)
